If you are a tenant or have ever rented you would have probably heard of the  term  inventory check. So what is an inventory check? Well to  answer this let’s  explain why an inventory check is needed in the first place. An inventory check is carried out to in order to monitor the condition of the property. The findings of the report are forwarded to the landlord and the tenant. Issues requiring the landlord’s attention like fixing general tear and wear usually have an ‘L’ in front of them and those that require the tenant’s attention will have a ‘T’ on them. The person doing the inventory check is not lenient, despite the fact that the bathroom is gleaming everywhere, that small cobweb in the corner will not be ignored that is for sure. As such it is important that when you are moving out you don’t get caught out with cleaning issues. Despite, most cleaning companies have a minimum charge anyway, so even if you the rectifications take 1hr, you will be charged the minimum equivalent usually 3hrs at least. So no overgrown shrubs in the garden. Cupboards must be emtpy and clean. Bathrooms should be gleaming with no moulds, grout or limescale.
